Tried the one in Honolulu. It's awesome, esp when it's all Japanese ppl all tipsy/drunk all around. It makes you feel like you are in Japan.

There's also a lot of Gyu-kaku in Japan, also a few in California. Gotta try the one in Vancouver. Hopefully it's just as good.

I also tried the one in Hawaii a few times, is awesome, gonna try the one in Vancouver this weekend, hope is gonna be as good!

Tried it last night at 7:30, there was a 30min wait and the lineup was only getting longer.  Taiwanese and japanese work the place, but most the customers are japanese.  Food was ok, but I wouldn't say great.  Overall experience was pretty good, 3 person no alcohol, $120.

i will give this place a try after the crowds thin out =P

how does it compare to Maruchu in Richmond? that place is also Japanese bbq and the food is pretty fresh.
