SURREY (NEWS1130) - The Amber Alert for four-year-old Jacob McBeath has come to an end.
The boy was taken from his Surrey home around 10 o'clock last night. Police issued the Amber Alert and suspected the boy was with his father, Benjamin James Mcbeath.
Two hours later, an unmarked police car spotted the father's car and the man was arrested without incident. The child was in the car and unharmed. The boy has been reunited with his mother.
The car was spotted on King George Highway and 156th in South Surrey.
The 35-year-old suspect remains in custody and the investigation is continuing. Charges are pending.

SURREY (NEWS1130) - Mounties in Surrey need your help finding a four-year-old boy, Jacob McBeath, possibly traveling with his father, 35-year-old Benjamin James McBeath.
The suspect is described as 5'10", 175 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The boy is described as non-white, wearing a long-sleeved red shirt with a picture of a caveman. He could be wearing grey sweatpants.
Police believe they could be in a grey 2002 Acura with BC licence plate 078-MES. The vehicle was last seen in the area around King George Boulevard and 15th Avenue Monday evening.
BC court records show that a man by the name of Benjamin James McBeath has faced numerous charges since 2007.
He was charged with assault in 2007, along with making and possession of voyeuristic videos. In the same year, he was also convicted with uttering death threats and criminal harassment.
He recently appeared on September 16th on another assault charge and has another date set to face a judge on October 3rd.
