How did you land on your first 'long term' job?

jus curious how ppl found their job they are working in now..or...at least been in for a year~

mostly thru friends? dropping resume? jobsearch engine?newspaper? other?

I think I found my last longterm job (before I quit) from Monsters.ca.
It was a temporary position (3 months contract)...at the end of the contract, I saw that they were posting for a full-time position, so I applied and I continued working there for over 1.5 years.

If you want to get some specific experience in your field, it might be a good idea to start with a temp job..if there aren't any full-time jobs available. Once you have learned the skills required, you can apply again to that company if they are hiring full-time..or you can apply your new skills to another job.
