it's okay to bring baby on a road trip..actually yours is just a short shopping trip!!
When my son was 5 months old, we drove to Calgary! haha..it wasn't too bad because baby is still young, so he doesn't want to get out of the seat yet. Just make sure to take many breaks..but since yours is a short trip, it is probably okay to just drive directly down without stopping.
Usually we would stop every 2 or 3 hours, to check on diaper and also take a walk around. Let baby get some fresh air..and also feed. Ha..once we were at Lake Louise but the public washrooms were closed and the change table was on the floor..so we ended up changing baby in the back of our car (SUV)..haha...
I think going on a small trip is a good thing for baby..to see some new surroundings. You shouldn't have to limit yourself just because you have to bring a baby around...also remember to take some pictures to show baby later that she went to the US!
as for baby items in the states...we usually stop at the outlets such as Carters because they are a lot cheaper than Canada. Also, diapers are a great deal in the states..goto Walmart or Kmart. Last time I went I bought 2 boxes of diapers...formula is also cheaper. If you goto walmart in the states, you'll find that baby items are generally a lot cheaper than the Walmart in Canada. You can get teats, bottles, bibs, clothes, diapers..etc
Actually, there is not much to 注意 when bringing baby to the states..just make sure you have her birth certificate with you if she doesn't have a passport yet. Also, it's not like you're going to a 偏僻 area, so no need to worry about finding a changing table or diapers. The good thing about going on a trip in a Car is that you have a truck to bring all the necessary items (spare diapers, changing pad, bottles, toys).
Oh yeah, almost forgot one thing. You should goto Ross! it's like Winners in Canada..except all their items are about 50% cheaper than Canada. Their baby toys section is a really good deal! You can get some toys for your baby about 50% off compared to retail. also Ross has lots of brand names in its stock....like Lesportsac for $30 or less. |
