LILLOOET (NEWS1130) - A tragic accident has killed a Lillooet man who just two months ago regained custody of his five-year-old son after the boy's mother was arrested in the US.

Fifty-three-year-old Danny Dimm died yesterday when he was crushed by a piece of logging equipment while clearing some trees on a property near Lillooet.

It was in August that Dimm was reunited with his son Timber after the boy's mother, an American, was arrested for allegedly abducting the boy in Minnesota.

Dimm's sister, Jewel-Ann Juriansz of Toronto, says her brother not only went through a custody battle and fought for the rights of single dads, but also sought funding to help care for his son's autism, and it's too soon to tell what will happen to his son, Timber.
