Even lofans know that Chinese characters are evolved from pictogram,
elegant and respectful, what a shame.
I believe the simplified version will eventually end up in trash, it is ugly,
short-sighted and confusing. 50 years after the implementation, the simplified
characters still unable to replace traditional characters. Is there any great
calligrapher who would use entirely simplified Chinese for show piece?
Also, reading classical literature in simplified would never give me the same feeling.
I can read and write simplified, but I hate it.
In formal usage, it's better to stick with traditional Chinese character. To be honest, if those mainland Chinese can't read those characters (as stated in the photo) in traditional Chinese, I won't expect they can read those in simplified Chinese either...
