No highs, no lows, that's Boxe.

Just like Munster cables: Boxe is overpriced, under-performed products of all times. I personally would not go for any of these 2 brands.

If you want a good sounding headphone for serious listening, consider Grado like SR60i.

If you want something better, you will have to spend more (a couple hundred bux) and go for some mid-priced Senheisers.

For serious audiophile listening, get Stax electrostatic earspeakers.

unfortunately, it's not easy to get a Grado (or even for try-outs) in Vancouver.

I used to be part of the Headwize group (no longer, too busy with family) and Grado is the all-time fave (best bang/buck). You can definitely get it from Amazon and refund/return with full refund and shipping if you aren't satisfied.

Also: 怪獸 by Dr Dre is an utter waste of mullah (IMHO), just lumpy bass line, with the one-note "thum, thum, thum" and nothing interesting at all.

Good if you feel like letting that rapper-meister Dr. Dre makes money out of you, bad if you seriously want to listen to music.

Oh and BTW: once you ventured into the mid to high-end headphones/ear-speakers, you wouldn't wanna listen too much to heavily digitised music format like MP3, etc. lossy compression format.

Instead: try listening to some real stuff (uncompressed/lossless):

Formats with lossless compression, such as FLAC, Monkey's Audio (filename extension APE), WavPack (filename extension WV), TTA, ATRAC Advanced Lossless, Apple Lossless (filename extension m4a), MPEG-4 SLS, MPEG-4 ALS, MPEG-4 DST, Windows Media Audio Lossless (WMA Lossless), and Shorten (SHN)

or: formats such as .WAV, AIFF, etc. and there's no going back.

I really like the Boss QC15.  It may not be the best sounding headphones, but it's extremely comfortable.  I was able to leave it on a long time, and don't feel like anything on me.  I other ear-bug style which hurt my ears within an hr.  Yet, I have to say that the QC15 is quite expensive.
