The issue here is not taking photos in public places or that it is rude or not. The issue here is that she is Chinese national herself, and she talks like she is not and implied that only Chinese people take photos. That was why her actions generated so much anger and she deserved it.

I didn't say it is right to do so. But I am just stating a fact that the paparazzi use powerful cameras and zoom in from long distance and take pictures of celebrities, even in private places.
