唉!無la la俾人charge duty....

Just received the parcel from DHL....omg....half price of the total value of the parcel....drive me crazy....next time no more la....

from where? Did you order DHL to ship into Canada?

If ordering from Amazon.com, they would actually compensate your duty charge if it's allowed to ship across the border (into Canada).

Q.

Yea use only Canadapost to ship, they're the only ones to (usually) not charge tax when something comes from overseas

Oh Yes.  Same thing happened to me.  I ordered some cheap photo lighting accessories from eBay and vendor shipped it through DHL from China.  End up I paid 50%+ of duty and brokerage.  It never happens if shipped through regular mail.  The problem is I cannot control how the vendor shipped my stuff since it's free shipping.

You must be buying expense stuff.. like more than $100...

I always got charge for duty for anything more than 100

Next time when you buy oversea or from the states just make sure the shipper do not ship with DHL nor UPS because they both charges brokerage fee and duty when they make the delivery.
