we were having lunch today
first thing u see is.. lots of ppl standing by the door with lots of donation boxes
then later when we were eating
they came over to our table.. wanting us to make donations
even after we said "we already donated"
the lady made us sound as if we are all evil creatures by not putting money in her box
yes.. i know the lady was trying to help
but donations can be made in many different ways
why forcing us to donate to her?
and bother people when they are eating?
donation is by heart, not by force lor, and some ppl prefer to donate in other methods rather than putting money into a donation box, i personally won't donate to some organization that i don't know at all lor, i wonder which charity does that lady belongs to

same thing I was thinking when I was in Landsdowne mall today. I saw a lot of red tee people holding donation boxes, they do have a booth but I don't even know what the heck that organization is. There are many ways to donate out there, I rather donate my money to a reputable organization, I am worried there must be some 混水摸魚 donation boxes ar!
My friends and I have actually started a bottle drive for the China's earth quake relief aid. The bottle drive will run from May 15h to June 15th. We are collecting empty plastic bottles, glass bottles, basically anything that can go into recycling. We are than bringing it to the bottle depot and the money we get in return will completely go to Canadian Red Cross or World Vision.
If any of you want to help out or feel that you can contribute to this bottle drive in anyway, let me know! I am also wanting to hear feedback from you guys on what you think of this idea?

I think this is a very creative idea but just worried some people might think this is a scam...

Today we actually went around to collect these bottles and a lot of people was worried about that. I am not sure how to overcome that too! My friends and I do not currently have a license organization so I guess its really for the public to trust us. We are in the process of having our church backing us up on this and hopefully having that will provide a better sense of reliability.

you just need to click on "引用" link at the right bottom corner of the box you wanna quote =).
DO you mind telling me how many friends have you gathered to work on this? I think asking the church for help is a good way, or make some little flyers and post them in community centre, schools or other churches etc? I think with the church name on paper, or even a phone number they can ask for information, it should be easier to gain more trust. Oh and how about a little blog to let people see what you are doing online?
