Another Chinese apps warning: Here are the apps listed as dangerous in 2017

In the last few months several Chinese apps like TikTok, Kwai, BigoLive, UpLive and Like have become quite popular in India. However experts have a warning. According to them, many of these apps have become the new hunting ground for pedophiles. They warn that the content on these apps could be in violation of the country's law. Also, the fact that privacy policy is not available in local languages further makes it difficult for many users to understand the implications of using these apps, making them an easy prey.

However, this is not the first time that Chinese apps have been termed 'dangerous'. Late last year too, Indian intelligence agencies had identified 41 Chinese apps that were listed as "dangerous". The ministry of defense reportedly issued an order to the Indian armed forces asking officers and security personnel to remove and uninstall over 40 Chinese apps. "As per reliable inputs, a number of Android/IOS apps developed by Chinese developers or having Chinese links are reportedly either spyware or other malicious ware. Use of these apps by our force personnel can be detrimental to data security having implications on the force and national security," said an advisory issued by MoD.
Here's revisiting the list of Chinese apps mentioned in the advisory.
