oh no... it's a very very hugh problem & it's not the first time... just a reminder...
u know the "lee yu" fish like 10 to 15 years ago.. too long i can't remember the exact time... people first wanted to smuggle the lee yu here just for eating, but eventually they want to make more $ so to "grow" them in local pond (& somehow the fish managed to escape).. it's a hugh disaster & the Lee YU fish & its bacteria killed lots of local species & took over the eco-system... once they're in the river, you can imagine how hard to get rid of all foreign species (they grows like crazy, 1 fish can produce like thousands eggs)... end up a hugh mess...
Another example is the wild & the grown salmons in BC. The $ our gov't spend on "closing the gate & not letting the grown salmons escape plan" is like more than million $, still, there'r some grown salmons managed to escape, & even they're the exactly identical species (at least a few generation before), they bring the new type of bacterias to the wilde & kill them, & change the wild salmons too. For this is already bad enough, so you can imagine for the crabs (which is soooooo different from the local crab) are going to bring a storm to the local eco-system.
if u still want to eat the famous "Vancouver big meat crab" 20 years later, you gotta protect nature & respect the nature. So the nature will continue nourish human being in a long run... so our kids & grandkids & grand-grand-kids can enjoy what the nature provides us...
