But many South Asian won a seat. Do we(Chinese) want have a say in our national affair or like to wait for others to look after us? I feel very sad when I just hear complains but no action whatsoever. May be we are just too busy making money or fighting among ourselves.
I dun think we actually need a chinese to represent us...even if south asian won a seat.. i am sure they will help chinese out also.. just like if a chinese won a seat,, i am sure, as part of his/her duty, he/she will also represent the south asians as well.. we need their abilities not their nationalities..
We should vote more so that we can show our political power. Those who do not vote but still complain are stupid fools.
There are some Chinese candidates who came in close second place.
Good to hear someone voted. But who get the priorities when you are a South Asian? Causcian or Chinese or South Asian? Don't kid yourself about justice in this society and please don't complain when scandal blows up such as mis-appropriating funds or giving special favour to supporters or others. You need tons of die hard supporters, otherwise you will be out of the office in 4 year's time: This is the game of politics and I do not think we are playing it very well.
I am sad to see that although Chinese came to Canada first, every parliament you can see a lot of South Asians but NO Chinese. I just want a parliament that represent the people who make up Canada and Chinese should not be excluded. But who's fault is it?
I support you, fm9610, you are absolutely right... last time when I saw news about hiring 50,000 Indian workers (no language skill at all) and has immigration opportunity I was so mad.... why this good opportunity was not given to Chinese? So unfair!!!
