Countdown to 2010 at the Kitsilano Autumn Fair on Saturday, October 25

It’s a Happening! Countdown to 2010 at the Kitsilano Autumn Fair
Join Kitsilano Neighbourhood for their Autumn Fair on Saturday, October 25. The City is helping to support this one-day event through the Host a City Happening Program, which shines the spotlight on Vancouver’s role as the Host City for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The family-oriented free event will include appearances by RBC Olympian Anne-Marie Lefrancois, who represented Canada (Alpine Skiing) at the Torino 2006 Winter Games along with the Vancouver 2010 mascots - Miga, Quatchi & Sumi!

Other activities include a scarecrow-building workshop, music and square dancing, and a local food market.

It’s a Happening
City Happenings are City of Vancouver-funded activities, events and legacy projects taking place throughout Vancouver neighbourhoods in the months leading up to and during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in February and March 2010. The Host a City Happening Program provides funding for events that reflect the Olympic and Paralympic values of friendship, solidarity, peace, fair play, optimism, inspiration and empowerment.
