全 球 咖 啡 連 鎖 店 星 巴 克 （ Starbucks ） 成 功 將 優 閒 咖 啡 文 化 帶 給 世 人 ， 但 金 融 海 嘯 席 捲 全 球 人 人 勒 緊 褲 頭 ， 單 是 走 向 來 的 高 檔 路 線 不 夠 ， 應 該 要 兩 條 腿 走 路 。 星 巴 克 前 天 （ 周 二 ） 宣 佈 要 搶 攻 廉 價 市 場 ， 下 月 起 推 出 每 包 不 足 1 美 元 （ 7.8 港 元 ） 的 即 溶 咖 啡 。
星 巴 克 20 年 來 急 速 擴 展 ， 在 全 球 44 國 開 設 了 逾 16,000 間 分 店 。 但 花 無 百 日 紅 ， 業 績 前 年 底 開 始 走 下 坡 ， 近 期 先 後 裁 員 和 關 閉 分 店 慳 錢 ， 又 千 方 百 計 開 源 ， 包 括 推 出 廉 價 早 餐 。 再 下 一 城 ， 就 是 推 出 即 溶 咖 啡 。
下 月 3 日 起 ， 美 國 西 雅 圖 、 芝 加 哥 和 英 國 倫 敦 的 星 巴 克 ， 都 會 推 出 全 新 「 Via Ready Brew 」 袋 裝 即 溶 咖 啡 ， 一 袋 3 包 裝 僅 售 2.95 美 元 （ 23 港 元 ） ， 12 包 裝 定 價 9.95 美 元 （ 77.6 港 元 ） ， 即 是 一 包 不 費 1 美 元 。 最 初 只 提 供 哥 倫 比 亞 咖 啡 和 意 式 混 合 烘 焙 咖 啡 兩 款 口 味 ， 之 後 視 乎 市 場 反 應 推 出 其 他 口 味 。 全 美 其 他 分 店 將 在 今 秋 開 始 發 售 即 溶 咖 啡 。

美 國 人 講 享 受 ， 愛 喝 蒸 餾 咖 啡 ， 覺 得 即 溶 咖 啡 無 咖 啡 味 ， 以 致 即 溶 咖 啡 市 場 一 向 偏 小 。 今 次 星 巴 克 大 膽 推 出 即 溶 咖 啡 ， 無 非 是 看 中 銷 售 額 達 170 億 美 元 （ 1,320 億 港 元 ） 的 全 球 即 溶 咖 啡 市 場 ， 希 望 能 分 上 一 杯 羹 。
但 星 巴 克 建 立 起 的 優 閒 咖 啡 文 化 深 入 民 心 ， 走 即 溶 咖 啡 路 線 引 起 爭 議 。 有 消 費 者 認 為 ， 到 星 巴 克 多 半 為 了 閒 談 聊 天 ， 非 單 純 喝 咖 啡 ， 所 以 寧 花 多 點 錢 。 但 也 有 人 看 在 星 巴 克 品 牌 份 上 ， 會 買 些 即 溶 咖 啡 回 家 試 試 。

i don't drink startbucks coffee unless it's free.
so it doesn't matter if they make instant coffee or not.
actually they should make instant non-fat, extra foam, vanilla latte instead... don't most of their customer order their drinks like that?

Well...I drink instant coffee too, if it's not too expensive I would like to try the starbuck one too.

I drink instant espresso since I always have it on hand.
It has intensive flavour and very low in acidity, do not conflict
with my ulcer.  Price work out quite inexpensive.

My opinion is that they are destroying the brand they have built up over the last 10 years.

其實星花黑偏離左傳統咖啡好__耐啦,come on baby。

我又真係唔覺得加instant coffee一個product會影響影象囉。你見排對埋drinks果班蛋散過半都唔係買咖啡﹐都係買D甜到入唔到口嘅飲品同pastry﹐仲有唔知咩咩茶。收入內源都唔係傳統咖啡啦。

good choices. other good local ones are salt spring island (haha those freshly roasted from ssi did tasted fresher)
and 49th Paralle.
