Velocity is NOT an autox event. It's a performance driver development program put together by VCMC. Given the amount of instructional and seat time you get, it's nothing short of a phenomenal bargain.
For velocity 1... it's the best bang for bux deal. Regular ubc or vcmc autox events is just 4-8runs, 1 min max per run for a day long. The velocity provide you a instructor, and give you 2+ hours of classroom lesson and at least 2 hours of in car practices. For $200/2hr in car, you can't call that expensive at all, consider they even throw in lunch included in that driver training event. Compare that to $40-50/regular auto x event, for just 4-8 runs...
As ah lik said, it's nothing short of a phenomenal bargain!
I went autoX a few times two years ago.
I dont think my tofu car will pass the exhaust db test that they started this season ...
Was planning to go this sunday... but i guess not.
