Working in Downtown, I can't help but notice the growing Homelessness problem in Vancouver. They are not all drug population. Hobos from around the realm of Canada flocks to downtown Vancouver, the warmest city in our nation. Posting in a Chinese-Conservative forum, I expect most of you to bash the population being lazy. Yet, I want to see your view's on this.


I noticed my white co-workers at LD, they continue to glorify the Homeless people. They see them as Neo-Hippies, former rebels from the Hippie movement.  This situation amuses me because I was raised in the Westside of Vancouver, I have never dealt with people living in the Bohemian livestyle. As many of you know, Hitler is one of those Bohemians living in proverty because his reign.   

Anyways, It's sad when I go on a cruise at night, I go from SW Marine Drive such posh neighborhood down to the slums of Hastings. How can Heaven and Hell be so closed together?

People need to see the poor to feel rich.  The more people need to feel rich, the more poor people are created.

我以前住 DOWNTOWN EASTSIDE, 日日都見到 D 露宿者, 佢地大部份都係有癖癮人仕, 未必一定係毒癮, 可能係酒癮. 問題係佢地想打工都冇人請, 試問有邊間公司會請一個冇住址既人? 我試過扮露暫者去DOWNTOWN 救世軍排隊食免費晚餐, 原來你先要成立宿友, 然後先至有資格食野, 至於成為宿友就要排隊等到10 點以後有空既宿位先至"有機會"成為宿友, 不過如果你有癖癮, 對唔住, 佢地唔收你.

不過依家建築旺, 都少左一批人啦, 可能多左D 外來者啦, 有D 係美國上黎都有. 佢地大部份以拾垃圾為生, 順手牽羊為副業. 有時去乞錢, 因為乞錢收入好過最低工資, 而且免稅.

見你講開西區, 以前派 SUN 由 SW MARINE 到 king edward  , angus dr 到 puget dr 都派過, 3 AM - 6 AM 見過 D 人可以由 DOWNTOWN EASTSIDE 騎單車去到西區搵食...

佢地一D 都唔懶, 如果懶, 就唔會落雪時陪我派報紙啦, 我坐車, 佢地坐單車..

以前我地派報紙果度都請左幾個有癖癮既人, 公司唔問有冇住址, 但會問有冇架 "可靠" 既車.

so, 有地方住係好緊要, 我贊成 VANCOUVER BUILD 多D 平屋. 但解決唔到其他湧入VANCOUVER 既人.

Why not send them off into the countrysides and teach them to farm and sustain themselves like the pioneers?

講真, 來來去去都係錢既問題, 美國佬拉晒 d 人去坐監, 咁又點? 一樣係納稅人出錢.

小弟係咪怪錯好人（？）託生真係一文不值（？）我開始質疑。自己既判斷。諗唔通。我見過佢鬧人。不過佢用英文。可能因為 not my mother tongue。hurt 唔到我。所以。小弟唔明。點解你地要吊佢吊得咁厲害。同埋。佢無鬧過我。我嘗試翻查 LYK。佢既 post 被 admin delete 晒。
