To be honest, Wally's burger wasn't the best. But I love them!
Original burger + Root bear float!

THE RETURN OF WALLY'S
Wally's Burgers, the iconic, '60s-vintage, fast food institution that closed its doors on Kingsway last year is coming back -- only, not to Kingsway.

Gord Bemister, an ex-producer at CFUN radio, has purchased the rights to the name and the trademark menu items, and has reopened Wally’s Burger’s in Cates Park, North Vancouver.  But unlike the original, this won't be the "one and only" Wally's in town. Bemister is looking into opening several more outlets around the city, with the next site possibly in Gastown.

2# news
I know the Korean who used to own Wally's in 70's and made a fortune,
he operated the Fresco Inn on Davie Street too.
not impressed with the food but the way he made money. The place was
filthy.

Well I never went in the 70's. I think the owners were Chinese when I went a few years ago.

You were so young then, even a few years back, the Korean family
still using the Wally's business cheques. They owned the Symphinie
Cafe, the Sandwich Train, Sandwich Gourmet,  the Welch's Family
Restaurant, the Fresco Inn, Hasty Markets,  Korean Butcher Shop,
Welch's Candy Shops on Granville,  few Hallmark Shops, the Luggage
Shop on Robson etc. I used to do  consultation works for  them.

LOL, I go to the car shop next door ALL the time but never really bought anything from this place... not even once...

My wife used to live around the block before we got married.  We saw the Korean owner and then switched to the Chinese owner.  Didn't really like their food, but it was close by.

We love to play the ancient spider web TV game there when the Korean owner had it.  Haha..

We need Peters' Drive-In in Vancouver.  Period.

went pass it when it was on kingsway.. never tried it tho

Wow...not until I open the links I didn't know which one you guys are talking about. I recognize the sign. It's rather hard to miss. But it never crosses my mind to get a burger there. There's a similar 50's drive-through type of burger joint on Edmond and Canada Way. Again, I must have driven by 10,000 times. Never been once...
