Hello. Where are you from? From the way you wrote, I suppose you're from HK?
Victoria is a nice, quiet place. The Harbour / Parliament area is especially beautiful. Things are certainly a bit slower over there, but Canada, and the West Coast, in particular, is no Hong Kong. And what's the rush anyway? Slow down, smell the flowers, and enjoy life a little, you know?
Since you'll be on the Island, take the opportunity to explore all the natural beauty that is out there. The coastlines, the old growth forests, the resort towns are all reasonably close. You just gotta enjoy what you've got around you, that's all.
But one note of caution -- never, EVER swim at the beaches at Victoria. The city is notorious for flushing out all of its unprocessed sewage directly into the ocean.
