You don't need to believe that moron Lik. Here, there are also a lot of reports about Taiwan on the media. But as you know, Lik has a grudge against the PRC.

Thank you, Nam. Now that you mentioned 慈濟, I remember that's the name of the organization I saw on TV.
For the record, local newspapers (Vancouver Sun, Chinese newspapers, etc.) have been reporting about the Taiwan typhoon tragedies. In my previous post, I was referring to what seems like a complete lack of interest and discussion here on LYK. Glad to know that there are concerned brothers and sisters paying close attention to the disaster in Taiwan, but at the same time, it is sad to see people are not as concerned about this as they did last year in Sichuan.
When the death count is sufficiently high, and the damage sufficiently severe, does it really matter all that much how much worse the severity of the disaster is? Are you saying that when the death toll is below a certain number (200, let's say), that you wouldn't give a damn? Are you saying that when "only" 1 village has been wiped out by the mud and rock slide, that it is not worthy of your attention?!
Don't forget that the official party line of the CPC is that there were no causalities due to 豆腐渣工程. So I suppose by your line of reasoning, nobody should give a damn about the 豆腐渣 issue at all?!
